08. Deleted Images: The Junkyard of Art

What it Is:
Ten years ago, when you picked up you printed photos from the local photo store, it was always an exciting moment to see how the photos turned out. There would always be a few great ones and a few completely failed ones. Sometimes the failed photos went into the trash, but sometimes they made it into an album, simply because they were the only capture of a special moment, or they were – in all their failure -pieces of art. The digital camera has not only changed the way we take photographs, but also how we delete them. With just one click on the trash-button a bad photo is gone forever. What a waste! These un-sharp, moved, blurry, bad lighted photos can be true pieces of art. Now there is a place on the web where these failed digital photos can be saved and cherished: www.deletedimages.com. It’s full of photos one would delete instantly. The galleries full of fuzzy shots are simply breathtaking. http://Www.Deletedimages.com is more touching and moving than Flickr will ever be!
