Pimp my Rollator

What it Is:
Sabine van den Bosch, from Tio Coolhunt ‘08: I think a rollator is cool, because it helps the elderly people to walk better and longer. It gives them their mobility back. So they can walk, for example, to the supermarket without any help. For the more extravagant 50+er there is now the possibility to pimp-up this rollator. Paint it pink, with feathers on the handles, or whatever else you find attractive and inspiring.
Why it's cool:
I think that’s cool, because if someone can’t walk well, it doesn’t mean he or she doesn’t want to look great. There are also a lot of problems with the people in an elderly home to find back there own rollator. When you have pimped yours, you can find it easily back! Besides that it also sends out a clear message: indeed I’m getting old and maybe I’m not capable of doing the things the way I used to do, but that is nothing to be ashamed of! I’m proud of getting old and will grab every possibility to live my live the way I want.

In my opinion it’s also cool, because the pimping culture started at the younger generation and is spreading out over the age “time ladder” skipping the middle section… (40-50’s assuming that these people are not using rollators:))at least, as far as I can tell
