The Flat
What it Is:
From the Brussel Coolhunt: The flat is a lounge bar full of charm in Brussels city open from wednesday to saturday. The bar is composed by the different rooms of a traditional flat like bedroom, living room, bathroom, kitchen… In which you can have a drink with your colleagues or friends. Dj’s can also be found some evenings. Last but not least, some drinks are priced on the stock market according to the law of supply and demand. Prices of some drinks will change and sometimes you can assist to a market crash!
Why it's cool:
It is cool because it is a different atmosphere compared with other bars of the city. You can have fun with your friends when there is a dj night or just have a drink with colleagues. The principle of stock exchange is totally fun and new.
Science of the Time: Indeed like thid coolhunter says: it is totally fun. Even more beccause it is making fun due to the recession. Apparently good things DO come from it. This is a creative and inspiring example of that in combination with ‘Cool Experience Economy’. Recession is the cause of the possibility to drink expensive drinks. Not to mention that alcohol is a good coping-mechanism for a lot of people.
