Anita Hawkins

A Malayustralianmutt with a background in nomadic world wandering and photomedia, Anita Hawkins started life on coastal Borneo. A Wider Asian-Australian-European time later she found herself hooked on physical theatre off the coast of Spain. And a Chinese performance tourlater, she finally found a home in China.
From here, Hawkins puts her performance self to work, now writing and producing performance concepts for youth brands in China and the likes of Nike, while co-running Shanghai’s premier electronic art platform, ‘micro’. In which China’s first Abelton Live music production workshop, Chinese Jazz scene collaborations, and an ever-growing number of artistic installations, performances and events keeps her spurring Shanghai speed.
