Baptist Brayé, founder of the leading Dutch based retail research institute Locatus, spent his entire professional life looking at retail environments from an urban planning perspective. He is the initiator behind immense geographical databases and known for his factual knowledge on retail planning issues.
Baptist Brayé publishes regularly on topics like consumer behaviour, retail developments and zoning and is a frequent speaker at conferences and meetings. As an independent retail authority he is often invited to participate in juries, selection committees, screening of research schemes, master classes and second opinions in situations where the translation from facts to decision-making requires professional knowledge of these fields. Next to his work in advisory boards in the world of retail real estate Baptist Brayé holds a position as visiting scholar at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
