Diddo Velema (7-7-’77) has worked over 10 years in design and advertising on clients like Burger King, Beck’s, Orange, Cadbury, HC Heinz, ASML, Anderson, KPMG, Master Foods and various smaller clients. His last work spot was Error! Contact not defined., a multi disciplinary hotshop that combined photography, design, music production, advertising and even art into their work. He also taught at the School of Arts Utrecht in The Netherlands and contributed various international projects like Frank Gehry’s Sentosa and UNESCO’s ICAT project in Costa Rica. Diddo is currently travelling around the world in search of interesting people and projects.
Often called a next generation creative, having skills in concept creation, art direction, photography and design he thinks it isn’t about isolating peoples skills but rather making best use of the combination of skills and experiences. He doesn’t believe in traditional approaches and tries to cross boundaries between advertising, design, architecture, fashion, photography, product design, etc. It’s really about being dynamic, seeing and using new opportunities.
As far as the future; He’s always open to projects that involve collaboration with a diverse group of inspiring people like the best researchers, graphic designers, writers, fashion designers, strategists, photographers, music producers, illustrators, product designers, architects, film directors, etc. etc.
