As a journalist (40) he is an autodidact: soon he discovered that he as a ‘selfmade man’ developed different ways to get answers to his questions. His biggest interest is ‘social movements’: why move people the way they move (socially)?
At the ‘Algemeen Nederlands Persbureau’ (ANP), the biggest general pressagency in the Netherlands, he takes care of the lifestyle & trend departement. It includes a lot of different themes like fashion, beauty, culinary, social movements, gadgets, travel and spare-time. He follows new developments mainly ‘right from the street’ because he thinks that that is the only place where real cool stuff gets transferred into a trend for the mass.
